The First Annual Spring Video Contest

So it's the first day of spring. I decided to kick off this new contest.

Ok, fine so you may be saying "this was posted on the 21st, the first day of Spring is the 20th" I'd say this is close enough. It's 11:55 on the 21st. I'm on the road right now with The Pogo Dudes, and me and Fred decided this would be a good idea.

Here's how it's going to go:

Dates:
-All videos must be in by May 20th
-Judging will be done, and the winner announced on May 25th

Technical:
-Video length must be between two(2) and four(4) minutes.
-Videos should be solo (not team) videos.
-Videos should be new material - film some fresh stuff! don't try to just recycle what you've already filmed last year.
-You must include your full name and "XPogo's Spring Video Contest" in the video.
-Submit videos by uploading them to YouTube ( or Google Video, Blip.tv, etc) then posting them in the Spring Video Contest section on the video page (which I will be adding in there - and any videos that don't meet these specifications will be removed)

Judges:
Each video will be judged on three different categories by three judges on a scale from 1 to 10 in each category. As well as accounting for the ranking from users rating the videos on xpogo (using a weighted ranking system)
-Nick McClintock will be judging the editing and filming of the video. Well composed shots, and good editing technique will score you points here (25%)
-Fred Grzybowski will be judging your style. Smooth landings, extension, and all around just making things look good is what counts here (25%)
-Dan Mahoney will be judging difficulty of tricks. Going big and pushing the limits is what Dan's going to be looking for (25%)
-XPogo Users can rank videos as they watch them on the video page. These results will be tallied using some mathematical magic (a Bayesian Rating) and count for the last 25%
The winner will be the video with the highest score (between 4 and 40)

Prize:
Now the fun stuff.
-The winner will be featured on the front page and receive a limited production custom xpogo t-shirt.
