Pogopalooza 6: Preview

This is a little overdue. A few weeks ago Fred, Chadd, and I made a stop in Pittsburgh to hang out with Nick Ryan, try out the BowGo, and get a first hand look at the location of the main event. Oh, and here's a logo:

The city will be closing down a street for us all day of August 22nd. The street is Schenley Dr. Extension - between Forbes Ave. and Schenley Dr. Right next to Schenley Park... Schenley. There's a photo gallery online if you want to get a better feel for the space.

The street itself is pretty standard blacktop. There's a few small cracks here and there, but nothing that will really throw you off your game. There's also a very slight incline to the road - but it levels out at the south end. All in all I'd say this is definitely a perfect place for Pogopalooza.

The tent that is located in the plaza (our rain back-up) is also nice. It's got a brick floor and a high enough clearance to bounce in.

Pittsburgh's also a real nice city to bounce in as far as street goes. Just driving through town and looking at some of the spots on the Carnegie Mellon campus made me drool.
